    I recently started using an editorial calendar. I have found it to be a life safer when it comes to blogging. It also keeps me focused and on task. With having the next two weeks filled already with topics and ideas I have now begun the research and writing. I am also already looking into weeks three and four. I LOVE the editorial calendar. I now feel like I have a purpose.

    Which tools do you use to create your editorial calendar? Excel? Google Calendar? We have recently launched a free calendar tool: Teamup Calendar, teamup.com. You can use it as a stand-alone calendar accessible via a unique secret link or use the Facebook version integrated into your FB account. I’d love to hear any feedback if you could try out.

    I really need to get an editorial calender into whack, I’m terrible at sticking to schedules etc. I find that when I force myself to write it never works as well as when I’m in the mood to do so. So I try and write up a few posts at a time when I’m not busy and am normally most motivated and save them up for an appropriate time/my peak time for my visitors to post.

    I suppose I sort of have an editorial calendar. I use google calendar to remind me on which days I post what. I divide all my posts into several categories and then I have a set day per week for each category (except a few which don’t get regular posts). I write all my posts for the week on a Monday, so the content and themes just fall into place as I’m writing it all at once.

    Thanks for a good post. I have a very hazy editorial calendar or more what I’d like to do but find things never quite go to plan. It would be good for me to put a proper plan in place and have the extra posts mentioned, just in case.

    I love my editorial calendar. Mine is pretty simple – I just use Google Calendar.

    I find I’m more consistent when I use an editorial calendar. I feel like I have a plan and it’s not quite as overwhelming to figure out where I should start writing posts.
