I just made the switch! WordPress is a breath of fresh air! Blogger felt cluttered and even a bit immature sometimes. I felt like I’d outgrown it somehow?
I joined WordPress MONTHS before importing my blogger data, just to figure it out. The transfer was actually very easy and fast! Blogger has an option to export your data to your hard drive, and then WordPress uploads it!
I was terrified it would delete everything from Blogger but thankfully it didn’t.

My tip: write a farewell/thank-you post on your old blog and link it to the new one! Many of my first WordPress visitors were referred from Blogger! 🙂

    Good luck and happy blogging!

I moved from blogger to wordpress.org earlier in the year, and despite all the hype online about how trying and difficult it is, I didn’t have that hard of a time!
