    Wow @Lindsay, thank you for sharing! I would have never thought to go to whois.net to find the owner of the content. So glad you got it straightened out and I hope I never have to do this myself!

    Thank you for sharing this, Lindsay. A blogger friend of mine had her work plagiarized but I didn’t know enough to point her to the right direction. I’ll definitely bookmark this article just in case I may need it one day.

    I’ve had images of my handmade jewellery stolen, posted on a site that suggested copying my original work. They didn’t even bother to remove the watermark on my photo but did have a very clumsy mention of my site, misspelled and not linked.
    I emailed them repeatedly but to no avail. It seemed to be a site primarily set up for advertising revenue so I reported them to Adsense and a short time later the image was removed. They had to change URLs multiple times to get their advertising back.
